Safety First
If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.
Check the Heating System emergency shut-off switch to ensure it hasn't been bumped off
Verify the Heating System circuit breaker hasn't tripped and attempt one reset
Look at the Heating System control board for flashing LED error codes
Check if the Heating System has a safety lockout that requires manual reset
If the Heating System remains shut down, call for emergency service immediately
