Follow these emergency steps in order. If at any point you feel unsafe, evacuate and call for help immediately.

Safety First

If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.

Turn off your Heating System immediately at the thermostat to prevent damage

Check and replace the Heating System air filter if dirty to improve airflow

Verify all Heating System supply registers are open and not blocked by furniture

Check the Heating System blower motor operation to ensure it is moving air properly

Call for emergency Heating System service as overheating can cause system failure
