Safety First

If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.

Turn off your Heating System to prevent pipe damage from repeated water hammer

Check the Heating System system pressure to ensure it is not too high

Verify the Heating System expansion tank is properly charged and not waterlogged

Drain and refill the Heating System system to remove trapped air that may cause hammer
